I was helping my son study for his spelling test. I asked him to spell lawyer.
He replied, "l..o..y..e..r."
I asked him to try again. This time he answered, "l..o...w...y...e...r..."
I shook my head and questioned, "What is the root word in lawyer?"
"LOY"
"What is a loy?" I asked?
He sighed and firmly spoke, "It's what lawyers do!"
