OCEAN CITY “POPS” INTO HAMMONTON FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY!

HAMMONTON, New Jersey– The Friends of the Eagle Theatre keep building momentum as they bring the Ocean City POPS to the Hammonton High School Performing Arts Center for one night only on September 20th, 2008 at 7:00PM.

Bring the whole family for a night of fun, exciting music and great entertainment as the “ POPS Goes Broadway”, conducted by Maestro William Scheible.

Celebrating his 21st year at the helm of the Ocean City Pops, William Scheible has transformed the Music Pier series into one of regional critical acclaim. Maestro Scheible has conducted over 800 concerts, presided over more than twentyfive Broadway and operetta fullstaged productions.

This is the second major concert event that the Friends of the Eagle Theatre have sponsored, emphasizing the group’s dedication to accessible and entertaining productions that can be enjoyed by everyone in the community and region.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the non-profit organization, Friends of the Eagle Theatre, and their efforts to restore the Historic Eagle Theatre, located on Vine Street in Downtown Hammonton. The restoration of the Eagle Theatre will create a much needed small performance hall which will be used for theater, dance, music, movies and other artistic purposes.

Ticket prices are $20.00 per ticket and the seating is general admission. Tickets are on sale now at Casciano’s, Simply Stationery, Dance Magic and Serenity for the Day. Tickets are also available online at tix.com or by calling 609-561-1199. Tickets will be available at the door.

“The people of Hammonton are excited about having the opportunity to have such a wonderful event as the Ocean City POPS in their hometown. I have attended numerous Pops concerts and am thrilled to be able to share the joy of the Pops with the community.” said Marion O’Neill, member and a long-time fan of the POPS. “
